Classical ballet technique joins contemporary dance. A live rock band on stage meets the symphonic score, forging a musical language of its own that carries the drama from restraint to release. Add costumes by couturier Igor Chapurin and a transformable set. At the 2024 world premiere in Athens, the lead was danced by Julian Mackay, soloist of the Bavarian State Ballet. One night only in Vienna: the Austrian premiere.

Patterns, hands, histories woven in — the carpet’s imagery carries a contemporary tale of separation and reunion whose path leads to Vienna. Classical technique meets a contemporary, storytelling form. Six students of the Astana Choreography Academy share the stage with the ensemble. The leads are danced by Tatiana Ten, Sundet Sultanov — laureate of the Benois de la Danse — and Natalia Fernandes Menes.
