Accessibility statement

KunstVia e.U. endeavours to make this website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, BaFG). The applicable standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.

Compliance status

This website is largely compliant with the requirements named above. Implemented measures include:

• Semantic HTML structure, a skip-navigation link and full keyboard operability
• Visible focus indicators and accessible dialogs (soloist biographies)
• Alternative texts for all images, text descriptions for video excerpts
• Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting: all autoplaying videos are stopped and animations are disabled
• Sufficient colour contrast on the dark canvas and scalable type

Non-accessible content

• The video excerpts are produced without sound, so captions do not apply; a text alternative describes each excerpt.
• Some content (e.g. biographies) is still being completed and is added continuously.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared in August 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment, automated checks (Lighthouse/axe) and manual testing (keyboard operation, screen reader).
